Choc chip cookies

Do these really need an introduction? I mean, who doesn't love a chocolate chip cookie? With the added bonus of being made from wholefood ingredients, these delicious bites make for a yummy snack any time of day!


Ingredients

(Makes 10-12 cookies)

  • 2 cups of rolled oats

  • 60g of liquid coconut oil

  • 1/3 of a cup of roughly chopped dark chocolate

  • 60g of honey

  • 1 egg

  • ½ tsp of baking powder

  • 1 tsp of bicarb soda


Method

  1. Preheat oven to 150 degrees Celsius

  2. Blend the rolled oats into a fine flour

  3. Combine and mix all ingredients in a large bowl

  4. Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes

  5. Roll into balls and flatten slightly on a lined baking tray

  6. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until lightly golden

  7. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 4-5 days (note: cookies will last longer if stored in the refrigerator)
